Hey!

Welcome to my blog, stranger! My name is Nathan and I'm a random brazilian nerd whose favorite character is (was, when i wrote this in 2021) Kaiki Deishuu from the Monogatari Series.



This is where I write about music that I like and, sometimes, dislike. 

Most of my interests are related to japanese culture, electronic music (vaporwave, drum n' bass), language and fighting games. I also make electronic-driven music under certain aliases, that I probably won't talk about here, and I have a dreampop project called Simon e o Rei Gelado.

I'm kinda boring and I like very specific topics that most people wouldn't care about, so that's why I made this. To infodump the reader (you) with my dumb opinions on music and other topics that I couldn't talk about with anyone.

She recently released her album "A Lonely Sinner", changing her sound entirely from electronic shenanigans to majestic and grandiose post-rock. Cecily Renns is one of the artists in the South-Korean indie-rock and emo scene that have been getting a lot of attention in the past few years. Her powerful voice and catchy hooks are as iconic as can be. She is also a good friend of mine! Unfortunate Fortunate Turn of Events (In Which Saijiki Surprises Me Beyond Words)

Well, it happened again. In the exact same way Mount Eerie left me speechless after my first listen, I find myself flabbergasted by 3776's Saijiki , released in 2019, the year in which I began my ongoing J-music discovering adventure. I've known about it since probably 2020, and had it downloaded since then. For some unknown reason (comically absurd lazyness) I'd never listened to it... Until today. This is called Unfortunate Fortunate Turn Of Events  because I'm MAD. I'm mad that this is so good that I'll have to listen to it at least 5 more times to even begin to absorb it. I'm mad that I now have a crippling desire to memorize every second of the record, to fully know its in-and-outs and memorise all the lyrics. I'm mad that this is not as good as Long Season but actually MUCH   BETTER than Long Season . In other words, this is the official second best album ever made according to  therhinestonehawk dot com . I'm writing this on the blog instea
